Prediction tool of the acoustical properties of porous and multilayer absorbers (SAMPredictor_MAA)
SAM Predictor_MAA is the solution proposed by Materiacustica for modelling the acoustical behaviour of homogeneous porous media by means of diverse analytical models and coupling such materials to membranes and resonators by using the multi-layer impedance approach.
In practice once you know physical quantities describing porous media it is possible to use the software both for determining surface and characteristic acoustical properties and surface impedance and sound absorption coefficient of layered absorbers by using a progressive impedance technique. The system does not permit the evaluation of the Transmission Loss.
